If there is anything that ticks me off it is people using cell phones and driving. There is a law in New York State that states you must use a hands free device. But all you have to do is drive around and you see that there are not a lot of people using the hands free deice. I have seen police here in Suffolk County Long Island drive for miles talking on their cell phone. I had a captain in the SCPD behind me for almost 5 miles as he spoke on the cell phone the whole time... It is amazing how you can see on the news about accidents because people send txt messages while that drive. People say o my god, and then go out and drive and pick up the cell phone and call someone and have a 10 min conversation with the. This is just as bad, you are not paying attention to your driving, and if you think you are then you are not paying attention to the phone call. I am not sure what the fine is for driving and talking on the cell phone is, but I think it should be $150.00 and you lose access to your phone for a week. The second time you are caught driving and talking on your cell you should lose the phone for good. Tell me what you think...
